We had an amazing stay at the chalet in Kirkbean! Great value for our money with a fully furnished and cute lodge. The location was perfect, just a 30-second walk to the beach, and the views of the mountains and green fields were stunning. The staff treated us well, and it was very dog-friendly, even the nearby pub!
The food for breakfast could have been improved with a better selection.

During my recent stay at the Lapwing, Skylark & Curlew Seaside Chalets, I was impressed with the spacious and well-furnished wooden chalets. The location was ideal, just minutes away from the beautiful beach through a secure gate. As a family, we found plenty to do and see in the surrounding area, and we especially enjoyed visiting the nearby pub with its delicious menu. The chalets were nestled in a large open space, providing a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere.
While our stay was mostly enjoyable, there were a few minor downsides. The heating system didn't work automatically as instructed, resulting in a chilly first night without using the fireplace.

The lodge had a stunning and cute design, with beautiful views of the mountains and green fields. It was fully furnished and had a nice open layout. The proximity to the water was a major advantage, allowing us to enjoy the constantly changing scenery of the Nith Estuary beach. the lodge was located in a peaceful and secluded area, perfect for disconnecting from work and enjoying a relaxing stay.
Although we loved our stay, there were a few minor inconveniences. The heating system didn't work automatically as instructed, and the first night was quite cold.

We had a blast exploring the stunning countryside and going on thrilling adventures. We went hiking through the lush green hills, cycling like maniacs through charming villages, and even tried our hand at canoeing in the crystal clear waters. The landscapes were mind-blowing, and we made memories that will last a lifetime!
The only thing we wish was better is the nightlife scene. As young party animals, we were hoping for some wild parties or trendy clubs to dance the night away.
